All abilities of birders are welcome. Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them (extra binoculars will be available).

        No theme, no focus, no itinerary; this program really is just a hike. We may take brief pauses to admire various elements of nature, but who know what we will see or where this hike will lead us. Join County Naturalist Jenn Rogers on these walks throughout our parks. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring a water bottle.

        Summit Saturdays is a kid's only weekend nature club! With a focus on fun and exploring the outdoors, children will participate in a variety of activities such as scavenger hunts, craft projects and hikes.

        For 2015 Trail Crew season, new volunteers are required to attend one of the two Volunteer Orientation sessions. You will learn different invasive plant species, the tools used on trail crew and their uses, as well as the Park Commission's overall plan for the 2015 season. Returning volunteers are not required but are encouraged to attend.

        Get a first-hand view of the Bald Eagle nest at the Abbott Marshlands. Researchers will be on hand with spotting scopes and answers to our questions about these magestic raptors which have fought their way back from the brink of extinction. This program is free to attend

         

        Park at the I-295 Scenic Overlook (northbound side) and walk approximately 1 mile to the site.
